My passion lies in the realm of music videos, but I've been involved in all facets of video production. I've been labeled as a "Swiss-Army knife editor" in that I've created documentaries, wedding packages, social media ads, gaming compilations, interviews, short films, yoga content... you name it - I can make it! In addition, I do all sorts of photography and graphic design. I've photographed live concerts (both local & nationally-touring bands), band promo shots, models, families, children, and pets! Examples can be found below. I strongly believe in balancing professionalism with friendliness and fun! I own all the necessary equipment to take a video project from conception to completion.

I'm currently based about and hour outside of Ottawa, ON and originally from Allentown, PA, and I'm willing to travel anywhere in between. I also do the occasional wedding at Northern Radiance.

A little about myself

While my "stage name" is Zakki Blakk, my real name is Zak Knecht, and I'm an established videographer and rock n' roll-loving dude. I gradudated from Lebanon Valley College in 2015 with a BS in Digital Communications (Videography Concentration). I've got this un-scratchable itch to stay as creative as humanly possible during my time on this spinning chunk of space dirt we call Earth. I love all things camera and tech-related, in addition to a passion for guitars, music, video games, pets, '80s fashion, and the outdoors. I take my work seriously, but fully believe life is too short to not be as goofy and fun as possible. And I'm always searching for bigger and crazier adventures on the horizon!!

I started this video journey way back during my middle school years in which my brother and me showcased our hilarious / embarassing "snow stunts" in backyard home videos. Always chasing that adolescent joy of two brothers' goofiness, I've been hooked on the limitless narrative possibilities that video affords to this day. From shooting the smallest projects, to editing TV shows, to working with touring-level bands, to working with world-renowned yoga teachers... and I enjoy every aspect of the creative process!

I am also a self-taught musician currently working on my debut album. I live, eat, and breathe metal music and am always down to collaborate or jam! To see more about what I'm working on, click here!

I'm currently recording my debut album, “Nightmares & Adrenaline“, due fall 2025! Filming and creating a ton of fun stuff to share soon!!

My foray into metal is an 80s-sleaze-heavy metal-goth-inspired Zakki-concocted mess. I'm not reinventing any wheels but I'm also not sure what label to put on me. I'm a self-taught musician with an affection for nearly all genres of metal. I write, record, produce, and edit my music (and videos of course!) myself; with mix and mastering handled by my bff Christian Meyer. My favorite bands (and influences) include: Bon Jovi, Crashdïet, ToxicRose, Sister, HIM, W.A.S.P., Skid Row, Motionless in White, Children of Bodom, The Cruel Intentions to name a few. In addition to my solo endeavors, I currently play in a party rock band called Ozmium*76. I'm looking to start some new projects as well!

I play vintage B.C. Rich guitars, Ernie Ball strings and picks, and both Marshall and Engl amps
